Since almost all lectures are held in Slovak, good knowledge of the Slovak language is an essential requirement
for a successful term or year abroad. Students may find it helpful to attend a Slovak language course before
or during the Academic Year. The University Language Department runs courses and drop-in sessions throughout
the year. There are more and more courses taught also in English or German. The Erasmus students are
provided with lectures in foreign languages (mainly English or German) ensured by academic tutors who
take individual care and tutoring.
